Infection control – We are dedicated to keeping you safe
We take the safety of our patients and staff extremely seriously at Richmond Village Dental. We follow the strictest infection control procedures outlined in the Infection Prevention and Control Practice Standard issued by the New Zealand Dental Council.
We test our autoclave daily, and all critical items are tracked and recorded for every patient and every sterilisation cycle. Our staff undergo regular training in infection control and we run frequent internal audits to ensure that our high standards are maintained.
Nervous patients
We understand that some patients feel nervous about dental visits. Our gentle and caring dentists will guide you through your visit, and explain everything to you every step of the way. We offer a relaxed and calm environment and we have a number of techniques to help you feel at ease.
Ask us about the Wand for delivering local anaesthetic. This technology makes it possible to numb your tooth in the most comfortable way possible. The Wand is controlled by a computer to gently push anaesthetic around the tooth with less discomfort than traditional injection. And because The Wand looks like a pen, and not like an ordinary syringe, many patients prefer the Wand.
Payment options
At Richmond Village Dental, we want a healthy smile to be accessible to all of our patients. We provide price transparency through the provision of clearly presented treatment plans. All patients will be presented with a treatment plan and an estimate of costs so that there are no surprises.
We believe that superior dental treatment, using the latest technology should be the standard of care, and our prices reflect our desire to be financially accessible to our community.
We also offer the payment option of Afterpay which lets you spread your costs over 4 small payments every 2 weeks. it is easy. Don’t put off treatment anymore – we’ve got options!
Manageable payments
Plus, for those who like to pay their bill in advance, we offer the option to make manageable payments weekly/fortnightly/monthly so that your account is in credit before being seen.
We are a Southern Cross Easy Claim provider
For those with Southern Cross Health Insurance with dental coverage, we can process Southern Cross Easy Claim applications on the spot! This means you no longer have to pay up front and wait to be reimbursed. Instead just pay any difference, or perhaps walk out without having to pay anything at all (depending on your coverage). Ask our receptionist for more details.

Terms
We respect your time and make every effort to remain on schedule, and we ask that you extend the same courtesy to us. If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us immediately either by calling on 03 3895923 or using our contact form. We appreciate 48 hours notice so that this time may be given to another patient.
Payment for all services is due at each appointment
Accounts with a balance of more than 30 days overdue will receive a reminder notice with the invoice. Accounts with a balance of more than 120 days outstanding may be sent for debt collection with one week’s notice. Any expenses incurred in the recovery of debt, including but not limited to legal and debt collection costs, shall be claimed on the payment.
